In this tough economic climate, families are cutting costs everywhere they can. Many parents are choosing to use some homemade recipes to duplicate some everyday cleaning items to help them save money… here are some that I have found from talking to them. My family and I are going to be trying a few of these to help us save money too.
Have your kids ever been invited to a birthday party and you had NO idea what to get as a gift for the birthday child? My son was invited to a birthday party recently where the birthday boy is very creative. He and my son love to create things together, so when it came time to look for a great gift for him… I had a hard time. After a lot of thinking, I came up with the great idea to make a craft box for him.
My family, just like yours is doing the best we can to save as much money as possible. One great way to do that is shop second hand. I have been picking up some great deals on second hand clothes, shoes, and even toys for my kids at consignment shops, eBay, and yard sales. Buying these items, definitely saves us some money but it does present a safety concern that I have had to address in our family. When you are purchasing items like toys or clothing second hand you have a job to educate yourself to ensure the safety of you and your children.
With these cold winter winds blowing I am wishing for warmer temperatures. I am dreaming of having dinner on the back porch, barbecues, and trips to the lake. When thinking of summer days, my mind has naturally been wondering to summer vacations. I am a huge planner, I like to plan trips and events WAY in advance to make sure every detail is taken care of… so it is not that crazy that I am already thinking about vacation; however, there’s a problem with my plans this year.
