I will never forget it as long as I live, I was sitting in my living room with my newborn son surrounded by boxes and bags of new baby blankets, onesies, diapers, outfits, rattles, etc… when a friend of mine stopped by with a very different gift. She brought me a gift certificate for a massage and I cried, I am not sure why, but I just remember that her thoughtfulness touched me very deeply as a brand new mother who felt a little lost in a sea of baby gear.
A few years ago, I wanted to host a costume party for my children and all of their little friends. However, as a busy mother I was worried about getting all of the details of the party taken care of, so I came up with a fun and easy idea. I invited other moms to help me host the party.
Halloween is not what it used to be. When I was a little girl, I could go with my friends to neighbors houses and around the community without any worries or fears; however, sadly those days seem to be gone. As parents now, we have so many different concerns associated with taking our kids trick or treating. I wanted to share with you some ideas to help you and your kids make sure that your trick or treating is as fun and as safe as possible.
With three children, there are days that I am feeling much more like a taxi service than a mother. I am doing my best to manage a crazy schedule and a busy family by setting three simple rules for my family.
